You are never too old and it is never too late to make a change. Your smile is central to your every interaction. Importantly, straight teeth are easier to clean and this can reduce the need for complex dental treatment in later life. Keep your smile looking young at heart.
There is no set age at which Orthodontic treatment should start or stop. Orthodontic Treatment can provide lasting benefits to Adults of any age and to children from 7 years.

Lingual orthodontics can treat orthodontic problems mainly in adults. Lingual orthodontics is the technique which positions braces on the lingual surface of teeth. Lingual surface of teeth is the surface which faces the tongue and as a result this kind of Orthodontics is invisible and no one can see it.
This method was developed in 1970’s at University of UCLA. It aimed in adults who seeked orthodontic treatment but didn’t want to wear conventional braces and be visible. Over the last decades, this technique was advanced and improved by Japanese, German, Israeli, French and American orthodontists. This technique is now widely used in France, Germany, Israel, United States, Italy and recently in Greece by orthodontists who are specialised in lingual orthodontics.
The bonding of lingual orthodontic braces is different than the one for conventional braces and is done in cooperation with specialized labs abroad.
Lingual orthodontics is indicated for adult cases and certain teenager cases. Almost all orthodontic problems can be treated with lingual orthodontics.  Lingual orthodontics have both advantages and disadvantages like any other technique.
The main advantage of lingual orthodontics is that they are not visible when compared to conventional braces. Another advantage is that treatment with lingual orthodontics can be beneficial in patients who have problems with temporomandibular joint besides orthodontic problems.
The disadvantages of this technique is that the patient has to be very cooperative and maintain a very good oral hygiene during the treatment, otherwise treatment result will not have the expected outcome.
Another disadvantage of this technique is that the patient will have to adopt in the new oral environment regarding oral hygiene and speech.  Adaptation period usually takes 2-3 weeks time depending on the patient and has to be done in cooperation with the orthodontist.
To Sum-up, lingual orthodontics is indicated mainly for adult patients who seek orthodontic treatment but their social status or job doesn’t allow them to have treatment with conventional visible braces. For those patients, the best solution is lingual orthodontics.

Invisalign is a new technique, it is the clear alternative to braces and has been chosen by over 500,000 people who want beautiful smiles. This technique is indicated for certain cases and orthodontists who are specialised in Invisalign can treat such cases.
The convenience and ease of use of the Invisalign system have made it the choice of over half a million people. In fact, Invisalign has been effective in giving hundreds of thousands of people amasing new smiles. Because Invisalign is clear and nearly invisible, most people will never know you're straightening your teeth - unless you tell them.

Because Invisalign, uses a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually straighten and position and teeth. You can keep your active lifestyle during treatment. Unlike braces, Invisalign aligners have no metal bands or wires to irritate your mouth.  Since Invisalign is removable, just take the clear aligners out for special events.
Patients use a series of clear aligners that are custom-molded to fit each patient. The virtually invisible aligners gradually reposition your teeth little by little until you get the final result which could be even in 12 months time.  Invisalign uses advanced 3-D computer imaging technology to transform your bite impressions into a custom-made series of clear and removable aligners. The advantage of Invisalign despites the esthetics, is that you are able to see the final result of your treatment in 3-D visual image which you can not see with conventional braces.
Disadvantage of Invisalign is that teeth movement achieved by these invisible aligners are slower than teeth movements achieved by conventional braces and therefore treatment time is a little longer when compared to conventional braces.
